Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care (CHPC) is pleased to announce the Italian-American Charity Golf Association has contributed a third installment of $28,000 towards their $100,000 pledge to The Star Hospice House.
Opened in July 2022, the Star Hospice House is a compassionate extension of CHPC’s Services. It provides comfort and dignity in a home-like setting for those facing life’s final stages. The Star Hospice House is ideal for patients who lack a caregiver at home, have complex medical needs, or simply desire a peaceful environment for their final days.
“We are incredibly proud to maintain our unwavering support for The Star Hospice House. This partnership allows us to give back to our community and ensure exceptional care for those in need, thanks to the generosity of our donors.” stated David Munella, Chairman, Italian-American Charity Golf Association
The Italian American Charity was an Idea that came to fruition in 1971 headed by 13 original committed men. As they celebrate their 53rd anniversary of the tournament, much has transpired from hard work and dedication of so many. During this time there have been 14 chairmen, 73 committee members including an Honorary Chairman, and countless volunteers that have given so much of themselves to ensure the success of our tournament. A yearly celebration of Italian-American Heritage and good will was a unique way to establish the event and benefit a cause which continues to this day. This year’s tournament is from June 6-8, 2024 at Holiday Valley.
“At CHPC, we’re incredibly grateful for the Italian American Charity Golf Association’s continued support of The Star Hospice House. Their dedication to our community is truly inspiring. Their consistent commitment has made them a highly respected partner, and together we ensure exceptional care for those in need,” remarked Mike Testa, CEO at CHPC.
