HOPE Chautauqua, CHPC and other collaborators are working to promote the disposal of unwanted and unused medications to prevent them from being diverted and abused. Take It To The Box, a network of secure and confidential drug disposal sites, is an important outgrowth of the collaboration.
Below is a list of permanent and secure medication drop box locations. All locations are free and anonymous. Liquids and sharpes (needles) will not be accepted. Sites are available 24/7 unless otherwise noted.
o Jamestown Police Department- 201 East 2nd St. Jamestown
o Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office- 15 E Chautauqua St. Mayville
o Fredonia Police Department- 9 Church St. Fredonia
o Westfield Police Department -23 Elm St. Eason Hall, Westfield
o City of Dunkirk Police Department- 342 Central Ave. Dunkirk
o Lakewood/Busti Police Department- 20 W Summit St. Lakewood
o Town of Ellicott Police Department- 215 South Work St. Falconer (M-F, 8am — 4pm)
o Silver Creek Court Clerk’s Office- 172 Central Ave. Silver Creek (M-Th, 9am—2pm)
o Westfield Community Pharmacy- 55-57 E. Main Street, Westfield (M-F, 9am—6pm, Sat 9am—1pm, closed Sundays)
o TOPS Pharmacy- 3955 Vineyard Dr., Dunkirk
o TOPS Pharmacy- 2000 Washington Street Jamestown
