CHPC’s comprehensive hospice care focuses on comfort and quality of life for patients experiencing an advanced, life limiting illness. Hospice care should be a priority if doctors expect your loved one has six months or less to live.
This specialized care includes treatments and therapies to relieve physical and emotional pain, assistance with personal care, helping your loved one fulfill their wishes as well as all prescriptions and medical equipment related to caring for the terminal illness.
Hospice cares for people where they live. Although some hospice care is provided in hospitals, in-patient hospice facilities or nursing homes, the vast majority of patients are cared for in the place they call home, which is where the majority of Americans would prefer to receive care at life’s end. However, hospice care does not end with the death of the patient, as CHPC continues to provide bereavement care for family and loved ones.
