Hospice care in Chautauqua County was founded by volunteers and they remain an important part of our care team to this day. Trained volunteers provide assistance, respite and companionship in our hospice care program. Many of our volunteers have had a family member cared for by Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care.
Hospice volunteers are ordinary people of all ages and backgrounds who share a common trait of concern and empathy for others. Each volunteer brings his or her own strengths and talents. Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care welcomes committed volunteers who are dependable and want to make a difference in someone’s life. No experience is necessary to become a volunteer.
