Service of Remembrance and Butterfly Release
June 6, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Free
This year’s butterfly art was created by Gracie Johnson, grade 9, Forestville High School.
We invite all residents of Chautauqua County whose loved one or friend has passed away to join us for our annual Service of Remembrance and Memorial Butterfly Release.
In recognition of the need to maintain social distance, this year’s event will be streamed live on the CHPC Facebook page and butterflies will be available to release privately.
The memorialized will be listed on our Bereavement Care web page and in the program booklet, which will be available for download. The listing will contain all those who have passed under our care, as well as any community members memorialized by a butterfly purchase. If you would like your loved one memorialized but do not wish to purchase a butterfly, call the CHPC Bereavement Department at (716) 338-0033, ext. 212.
To participate in our Service of Remembrance, just visit our Facebook page Saturday, June 6 at 1pm to stream the live program. A recording of the service will be available after the service on our Facebook and web pages. No reservation is necessary if you just wish to view the live event.
The deadline for purchasing butterflies has passed. Those who have made purchases of butterflies should pick them up Saturday, June 6, between 10AM-12PM at one of our two office locations:
Save the date… Join us for our Light A Life Service of Remembrance and Tree Lighting Ceremony on
Saturday, November 28, 2020.
