Through the generosity of members of our community, Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care is able to care for patients’ physical, emotional and spiritual needs at any given time. Thank you to all … you are our hospice heroes.

Interested in organizing a fundraiser for CHPC? We’ve established some event guidelines that will help make sure your event is a success.

Don’t Know Your Partner Charity Bowling Tournament
The Chautauqua Lake Memorial VFW Post 8647 organizes an annual bowling tournament every winter. Each bowler is matched with a partner who isn’t announced until the scores are tallied to determine the winners. The tournament began in 2006 and continues to be a valuable source of support (and fun).

Mel Perks Memorial Motorcycle Run
After the passing of their friend on hospice care in 2012, Al and Patty Sutter organized this event to help provide financial support to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care. Hundreds of motorcyclists participate in the event, which includes live music, a cookout and an auction. With the sale of The Pad to new owners, the event moved to the American Legion Samuel Derby Post 556 in Frewsburg and is organized by Amy Anderson and Tammy Whalen.

Lawn Mower Poker Run
A dedicated group of volunteers from the American Legion Post 493 of Mayville, New York organize this community event began in memory of Jack Carlson. Jack rode his lawnmower to the Legion whenever he visited. Participants throughout the community depart the Legion on tractors and visit watering holes to then return for raffles, auctions, camaraderie and great food.

Circulus Golf Tournament
Since 2008, the Circulus Golf Tournament has provided valuable support to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care. Five dedicated volunteers organize this event every year to benefit CHPC. Over the course of the 13 years the tournament has generated over $80,000 in support of our programs.

Hoops for Hospice
Falconer Girls Basketball give back during this night of fun at one of their season basketball games. In addition to a great game and team spirit, raffles take place throughout the evening as well as a collection of donations.   

BLB Chicken Barbecue
Employees from the Bahgat & Laurito-Bahgat CPA firm and the BLB Insurance Agency, Inc. of Fredonia raise funds for Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care by serving barbecue chicken dinners. Approximately 350 dinners are served thanks to their hard work and dedication to the cause.

Moniuszko Social Club
The Moniuszko Social Club donates funds from their fundraising efforts to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care. The club has donated to Hospice for the past seven years.

Skinner Family Pigout
2018 was the third year the Skinner Family has staged their event at the Stockton Fireman’s grounds. Over 300 people attended the event, raising $2,574 to in support of our work here at Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care – more than doubling the amount of last year’s donation. The event began as a promise kept to their mother, Darlene, to “gather every year and celebrate life.”
